Knowledge Vector at FPED VI
DURHAM, NC (8/28/07) -
Knowledge Vector Inc., a leader in intelligent event
processing, presented the latest release of its
integrated event management solution for command and
control at FPED VI in Stafford, Virginia. FPED VI, the
sixth conference on Force Protection Equipment
Demonstration, was held at the Stafford Regional
Airport and the Marine Corps Base Quantico.
Knowledge Vector featured their awareness product, the
Knowledge Switch®(KSX) as the core platform for
solutions in perimeter security and surveillance. The
Knowledge Switch fuses events from multiple sensors and
sensor subsystems to provide a more accurate view of
events in the environment as they occur. This software
solution uses rules-based scenarios to eliminate the
noise of frequent false alarms and also reduces missed
positive alarms. The KSX provides comprehensive
notification capabilities beyond typical command and
control products through its intelligent routing and
delivery of information on a need-to know basis over
multiple devices. The Knowledge Switch based solutions
can be used in both government and commercial
industries.
Knowledge Vector was invited to FPED VI by Michael
Toscano, Office of the Secretary of Defense, to showcase their
unique capabilities for sensor fusion and event fusion
for use in Perimeter Security applications.
FPED, a biennial conference sponsored by the United
States Military’s Joint Staff, as well as the Department
of Defense, the Department of Energy, the National
Institute of Justice, and the Transportation Security
Administration, provides an opportunity for high ranking
